Samoa Joe talks Daniel Bryan’s return to the ring

Samoa Joe and Daniel Bryan had an epic feud in Ring of Honor, where the two former ROH champions trade blood and sweat for the ROH World Championship. With Bryan’s recent in-ring return, and the Samoan Submission Machine making his way to Tuesday nights, fans have been speculating on whether or not we could see the rivalry revived.

Samoa Joe was recently on the Wrestling Compadres Podcast, where he discussed Bryan’s return to the ring. (Transcription courtesy of Wrestling Inc.) Joe’s part of the podcast was recorded during WrestleMania weekend.

Daniel Bryan’s in-ring return:

I take it in kind of a mixed bag. Obviously, I think it’s awesome that he’s back. One thing I say about him is that he’s a very diligent and determined guy. He has fought for this for years to be cleared, and I know he wouldn’t do it if he didn’t think it was something he shouldn’t be doing.

What Bryan’s return means for different forms of rehab:

What I feel now, I think, in general, we are heavily involved with PRP, and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is definitely on the table for recovery and rehab. I give our training staff a lot of credit. They’re really diligent about us going out there.

Obviously, there is a lot of bunk science and a lot of fads, but I give us credit that our guys are a lot more open minded and are definitely trying to find the newer techniques that do work and give every advantage to our athletes to recover and get back in the ring.
