Sasha Banks Breaks Silence On WWE Hiatus

Sasha Banks has not been on WWE programming for quite some time and was recently replaced by both Carmella and then ultimately ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch in the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship match against then-champion Bianca Belair. While her absence has not been fully explained by Banks, WWE or anyone else for that matter, ‘The Boss’ has still very much been active. This bad Sasha Banks medical update was recently revealed.

This has been particularly the case on social media when Banks would tweet out to recently-released WWE star, Mickie James. James was released from her WWE contract, along a multitude of now-ex WWE talent earlier this year. Taking to the social media platform, Banks would very simply state: “Thank you @MickieJames. It’s more-than-likely that Banks is stating thank you due to Mickie James help setting up the upcoming all-women’s pay-per-view card for the NWA called NWA EmPowerrr. The card, which is being held tonight boasts such matches as Deonna Purrazzo vs. Melina Perez for the Impact Knockout’s Championship as well as an NWA World Women’s Championship match between Layla Hirsch and current champion, Kamille.

Here is why Sasha Banks is ‘struggling’ during her WWE hiatus. In other news regarding Sasha Banks, while speaking at Planet Comicon, current AEW Women World’s Champion Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. stated that she would like to face banks, as well as several other top female wrestling stars in a potential dream match. Credit to Fightful for the below.

“Women’s wrestling is on fire right now, it’s the hottest it’s ever been, so I’m gonna go for right now and do some cross-promotional stuff. I get tagged the most as a dream match for fans is Charlotte Flair. That’s definitely who I get tagged the most (in posts). Someone who I am a massive fan of and who I would love to wrestle, Charlotte, and also Sasha Banks. There are so many talented women all over the place. Women’s wrestling to infinity and beyond. It’s going to keep growing and we’re going to keep taking over and showing the boys what is up,” she said.
