Sasha Banks & CM Punk Bombshell Revealed

AEW’s CM Punk and WWE’s Sasha Banks both are away from on-screen programming. Punk was reportedly involved in an altercation following the conclusion of the All Out pay-per-view. AEW has suspended Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Pat Buck, Chris Daniels, Michael Nakazawa, and Brandon Cutler following the backstage fight. It has been further noted that CM Punk, The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega are all still with the company, but they are under suspension. Meanwhile, Ace Steel got fired as well. Meanwhile, Banks was suspended after creative differences backstage few months back.

CM Punk heading to WWE?

There have been speculation about them potentially moving to WWE, but according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there have been no talks between WWE and either man at this point.

There is reportedly no indication one way or another how Tripl H or Nick Khan feel about the situation, according to Meltzer. However, WrestleVotes had claimed that Triple H wanted nothing to do with him as of July. Bringing Punk back to WWE would obviously be a huge deal, especially in the midst of a wrestling war. However, the negativity surrounding him right now, as well as how his time with WWE ended could make him returning difficult. Punk is also currently dealing with a triceps injury, meaning he is not cleared at the moment.

Status about Sasha Banks

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sasha Banks is still under contract with WWE even now. That being said, a WWE return date is dependent on “hang-ups” in negotiations.

She is still under contract to WWE, but there is no word on when she’ll return, as there were said to be hang-ups in negotiations for a new deal.

We will have to wait and see what the future holds for these stars.
