Rumors turned out to be true as Trinity Fatu (formerly Naomi in WWE) made her debut in IMPACT Wrestling at Saturday’s Spring Slugfest TV tapings. It has been noted that Mercedes Mone (formerly Sasha Banks) was in attendance.
The former Sasha Banks and Naomi had walked out of WWE RAW in May last year due to massive creative differences with the company. Since then there had been several speculations regarding their future.
Trinity Fatu makes her IMPACT Wrestling debut
While Fatu was in attendance for Mercedes Mone’s debut with New Japan Pro Wrestling, the former Sasha Banks returned the favor for her good friend by attending Trinity’s Impact Wrestling debut.
After much speculation, Mercedes Mone’s wrestling future became clearer on the 4th of January 2023 when she made her debut for New Japan Pro Wrestling at Wrestle Kingdom 17. She then went on to become the second IWGP Women’s World Champion but recently lost the title to Mayu Iwatani as her future becomes unclear once again.
Mone was in attendance to see her friend’s debut and took to social media to share her thoughts on it:
“@TheTrinity_Fatu is here to make an IMPACT!!! She bout to knock out all competition & leave em in the rear view. Get it sis”
Trinity’s debut in IMPACT Wrestling will air on the 4th of May but she has set her sights on the Knockouts Championship currently held by Deonna Purrazzo.
