Sasha Banks & Ronda Rousey SmackDown Spoiler Leaks

Sasha Banks has been away WWE and it has been same for Ronda Rousey. ‘The Boss’ recently made an appearance at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo. She had fan interaction and posed for photos as well. She also slammed the security to defend a fan. Banks and Naomi had walked out of Monday Night RAW due to creative differences. There have been various sides to the story already reported, including that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions confronted WWE Chairman Vince McMahon over their issue. There have been many speculations over the past few weeks.

Sasha Banks and Naomi could return soon

While, the spots are filled, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sasha Banks and Naomi are likely to return and compete in the Women’s Tag Team Title tournament as well.

On the Smackdown side they’ve announced Raquel & Aliyah vs. Shotzi & Xia Li and Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark of NXT vs. Natalya & Deville. Sky & Kai are the favorites. If they make the finals, it presumably won’t be on PPV since they already announced Sky & Kai for a trios match on 9/3. This being announced right as Naomi & Banks are expected back is probably not a coincidence and I guess the idea is for them not to be in the tournament and have them surprise appear later.

Meanwhile, Fightful Select reported Ronda Rousey is slated to make her return from a storyline suspension on SmackDown as early plans call for her to be involved in the contract signing for the title match between Shayna Baszler and SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan at Clash at the Castle.

Rousey was recently fined an undisclosed amount and suspended for her controversial actions at SummerSlam 2022 Premium Live Event. ‘The Baddest Woman On The Planet’ had challenged Liv Morgan in a rematch. She was eyeing to reclaim her gold at the event but failed. The match had ended controversially. Rousey had Liv Morgan locked in an armbar, but the latter was in a half-standing position.

Rousey’s shoulders were pinned to the mat, which prompted the match official to begin his three-count. However, he didn’t see Morgan tapping out as her hand was near Rousey’s feet which were up in the air. Ronda Rousey was quite frustrated with the result, and that did not sit well with her. She attacked the champion and followed it up by attacking the WWE official whom she blamed for her loss.
