Trish Stratus opens up on a possible match with Sasha Banks
WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is a legendary star who has inspired several female stars including Sasha Banks. She recently spoke about a possible “dream match” with Banks. Here is what she said:
”I’ve heard I’m fleeing from her, which is completely false,” Stratus said to Source. “I mean, she did this commercial where she said I wasn’t ready, and I tweeted a picture of my six-pack and said, ‘I am ready, gal.’”
While ‘The Boss’ had also expressed her desire to face Stratus last October. Banks had stated:
“I’m waiting for Trish.” “It’s all her fault.” She appears to be avoiding me. She isn’t returning my calls. I’m up for anything. I’m ready to go. I am always prepared. I’m always prepared. So Trish knows where to find me whenever she’s ready.”
Stratus most recently lost to Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2019, while Banks is set to team up with Naomi for a Fatal 4 Way for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against Carmella and Queen Zelina Vega (c), Shayna Baszler and Natalya, Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania Sunday on April 3 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
In an interview that was conducted with Bleacher Report in October of last year, ‘The Boss’ revealed her dream WrestleMania dream matches, one being against an A list celebrity that many would not expect to ever see in a WWE ring. Credit to the outlet for the following.
“I see myself main-eventing WrestleMania either against Nicki Minaj, Charlotte Flair or Bayley,” she said. “Those are my top three picks. If I predicted that one last year, I feel like any of those are a WrestleMania-caliber match.”
