The former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Asuka has been away from the company for a long time now. The fans are certainly missing her. ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ has not appeared on WWE TV since Money In The Bank 2021 back in July. She had sustained injury since then, but there hasn’t been much said about her status or return, despite numerous inquiries. Several reports have been stating that Asuka is being medically cleared for a return.
In the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that “Asuka is now cleared to return after shoulder surgery.” The former WWE RAW Women’s Champion has herself questioned the reports.
Asuka snubs the reports
The former WWE Raw Women’s Champion reacted to a tweet about her being medically cleared. She asked, “am I medically cleared?” and then later wrote:
“Let me know the percentage of news rumors that are correct.”
A fan on social media had read the rumor that she was set to return by being medically cleared, so when he asked if it’s true, Asuka made it clear, “Not yet [sad face emoji].”

Though initial reports indicated that she was considered for the Royal Rumble and then was rumored to return by the end of February for Elimination Chamber, clearly that did not take place. Fans are eagerly waiting for her to make her much-awaited comeback. With WrestleMania 38 right around the corner, we will see if she makes her return. The show will take place on Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3 from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
