The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks was released as per the WrestlingInc and Raj Giri. New reports have emerged which notes her presence on the WWE’s internal roster.
Sasha Banks is seemingly still a part of WWE
Raj Girl, founder of Wrestling Inc., initially broke the news on June 15. Raj claimed that he heard she had been released but was unsure if she requested it or if WWE took the action. In an update today, WrestleVotes has backed up Giri’s claim and verified the report. WrestleVotes stated that Sasha Banks has indeed been released from her WWE contract.
However, PWInsider noted that she is seemingly with WWE.

As of last night, she was still listed on WWE’s roster internally.
Sasha Banks and Naomi had walked out of Monday Night RAW due to creative differences. There have been various sides to the story already reported, including that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions confronted WWE Chairman Vince McMahon over their issue. WWE left that part out of their official narrative, but Banks and Naomi did have words with the boss. In the official statement from the company, it was noted that Sasha Banks and Naomi dropped their tag titles on the desk of John Laurinaitis and left the building.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men podcast recently talked about the former women’s champion. He first confirmed yesterday’s news that her attorneys were working on getting her off the WWE contract.
The Boss’ has recently undergone a Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK) eye surgery, earlier this week. Newsom Eye, the ophthalmologist center that was in charge of the performed surgery, shared videos and photos of Banks before and after the operational procedure.
We will now have to wait and see what the future holds for Sasha Banks.
