Sasha Banks and Naomi are being advertised for the June 24th WWE Smackdown event, as seen below in a photo.
WWE commentators Corey Graves and Michael Cole received heavy criticism for their comments on air in regards to the recent RAW walkout involving Sasha Banks and Naomi. The comments grabbed attention of the fans online. However, the former WWE commentator Renee Paquette (known as Renee Young in WWE) has backed both Corey Graves and Michael Cole following recent comments they made on air. Michael Cole proclaimed to the WWE Universe that Sasha Banks and Naomi have let their fans down. While, Corey had labeled the tag-team as “unprofessional.”
Renee Paquette supports them
It is no secret that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon feeds lines to the commentators through the headset and that must be said on air. Speaking on her show Throwing Down with Renee and Miesha, Renee stated that the anger towards the commentary team is not fair. As they are merely relaying what Vince McMahon is wanting them to say:
“Guys you have to keep in mind they are a part of the show, you know when you think of somebody being a broadcaster, they are being fed lines. I don’t know what their opinion is or what their stance is on any of this, but for people to take shots at those guys that’s just not fair.”
Sasha Banks and Naomi had walked out of Monday Night RAW due to creative differences. There have been various sides to the story already reported, including that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions confronted WWE Chairman Vince McMahon over their issue. WWE left that part out of their official narrative, but Banks and Naomi did have words with the boss. In the official statement from the company, it was noted that Sasha Banks and Naomi dropped their tag titles on the desk of John Laurinaitis and left the building. It has been speculated that Banks and Naomi reportedly won’t be fired.
It has been recently noted on the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown that Sasha Banks and Naomi have also been indefinitely suspended from WWE and had their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles stripped. Even their merchandise was pulled from the online shop.
