WWE Superstar Scarlett made her in-ring debut on Friday night’s SmackDown this week. She teamed up with her real-life husband Karrion Kross to defeat Emma and Madcap Moss.
The duo emerged victorious after Scarlett took out Emma and ultimately helped Kross secure the victory with The Kross Jacket submission hold.
However, the ring announcer Samantha Irvin seemed to forget Scarlett’s contribution to the win, announcing Kross as the sole winner of the mixed-tag team match. This oversight was not lost on fans. It led to backlash from viewers on social media, with some calling out Irvin for her oversight and others praising Scarlett for her performance in her first match.
But Kross and Scarlett didn’t stop there. After the match, Kross further humiliated Madcap Moss by placing Rey Mysterio’s mask on him, sending a clear message to the WWE legend. Kross has made it known that he wants to make a name for himself by defeating Mysterio, who recently returned to WWE SmackDown after being injured by his son.
Kross has made it clear that he wishes to make a name for himself by taking on Mysterio, and their feud is expected to continue in the coming weeks.
The couple also faced off against the same opponents at a recent WWE live event in Wheeling, West Virginia. The match had its share of mishaps, including a botch in which Scarlett’s legs got tangled with the referee while attempting a baseball slide, and Scarlett accidentally slapped Kross instead of Emma. Despite the missteps, Kross and Scarlett were able to secure the win. Scarlett also actually had a televised match on Raw in 2016 against Nia Jax as local talent. With Triple H now in charge of creative for the WWE, fans are hoping to see more of Scarlett in the ring in the future, potentially even in a singles capacity on Smackdown.
