Seth Rollins Drops Sad Bray Wyatt Bombshell

Former Universal Champion Seth Rollins recently talked about former WWE star Bray Wyatt. ‘The Visionary’ stated that he would be interested in working with Wyatt again if he returns to WWE. Wyatt possibly returning to WWE created a buzz. Wyatt reportedly had a flight booked for a WWE return at Clash At The Castle. It turns out his return to the squared circle has been delayed. Meanwhile, fans were frenzied after last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Ronda Rousey had also opened up on the rumors.

The Visionary and The Fiend infamously collided in a Hell in a Cell match at the eponymous event in 2019 for the Universal Championship. The finish saw the match end via referee stoppage.

Seth Rollins opens up on Bray Wyatt

Speaking to Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Seth Rollins heaped praise on The Eater of Worlds for his creative mindset. He stated that he would be open to working with Wyatt again in WWE:

“I would love to have another crack at working with Windham Rotunda [Bray Wyatt]. He’s an incredible talent. Just a mind for the industry and for stories and for characters that is very unique, there’s not a lot of people in our business – past, present, or future – that think about things on the level that he does,” said Rollins.

Speaking about the infamous match between the two stars, WWE had used red lighting for The Fiend at the time and the entire arena was crimson. In an absurd booking decision, the company opted to end the Hell in a Cell match with a disqualification after Seth used a sledgehammer.

The WWE Universe was not happy with the finish and the company quickly tried to right the ship. Less than a month later, The Fiend would defeat Seth in a Falls Count Anywhere match to become the Universal Champion at Crown Jewel 2019.

Speaking with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Seth disclosed that the controversial finish to the match was not their call and did not go how they envisioned it:

“I could have moved on to something else and he could have had his run as champion. But that wasn’t the case and we played the hand we we dealt, and that was not our call. I know he would tell you the same thing, that did not go the way we wanted it to. We tried, and we tried, and we tried, and the boss at the time would not budge. Like I said before, it is not our sandbox, you know? We are actors on a stage sometimes and we read the lines.”
