At NXT TakeOver: 31, Finn Balor successfully defended the NXT Championship against Kyle O’Reilly. It was as hard-hitting a match as one would expect from those two.
So much so that Finn Balor left the match with an injury. During the bout, Kyle O’Reilly caught him with a knee in the corner that left him grasping his jaw. Turns out, the NXT Champion had broken his jaw in two places.

If it doesn’t require surgery, Finn Balor will more than likely be back in a month or so. However, if it does, he could be gone for several months, which would lead to him relinquishing the NXT Title.
Yesterday, NXT stated that Adam Cole and Velveteen Dream were “injured” following the events of NXT TakeOver: 31. We’ll have to see what the brand has in store for these three Superstars later on tonight.
