Shane McMahon Looks Like Mess In Backstage Video

Shane McMahon looks to be in bad shape after his injury during a match with The Miz at WrestleMania.

A few years ago, the world was stunned when WWE superstar Roman Reigns announced on an episode of WWE Raw in October 2018 that he had been diagnosed with leukemia. It was a fight for his life, but Reigns took a hiatus from WWE to undergo treatment for myeloid leukemia, a slowly progressing disease that is typically discovered during routine bloodwork.

It was a terrifying experience for Reigns, who at the time was just a kid from a small beach town, working his way back home to deal with this disease alongside his family. However, as a WWE superstar, he was also faced with the added pressure of the whole world knowing his situation.

Reigns was initially worried about how he would be perceived by the public, as people tend to focus on the negative side of things and toxic stuff, but he was pleasantly surprised by the outpouring of support he received. Instead of being judged and having his own narrative created, everybody surrounded him, offering their unwavering support.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Reigns reflected on this battle, saying, “It just really created a safe place for me to just go and heal, and not worry about what anybody thinks or what anybody can say. Just go, dive into my support system, let my family surround me with love and hopefully we just make it back and continue to chase our dream.”

“Well, at first it was terrifying. You know what I mean, because when I initially went through it, nobody knew who I was. I was just a kid from a small beach town, working his way back home to deal with this, with his family. Then to be in this situation where the whole world knows who you are. At the time I didn’t look at it as ‘Man, I’m lucky that I’m gonna have this support,’ it felt more so like, ‘Oh no, they’re gonna judge, they’re gonna make their own narratives,’ You know what I mean. Because in this day and age, people cling on to the negative side of things and toxic stuff, but it was the exact opposite. Everybody surrounded me, just like you said man, everybody was there for me, they supported me. It just really created a safe place for me to just go and heal, and not worry about what anybody thinks or what anybody can say. Just go, dive into my support system, let my family surround me with love and hopefully we just make it back and continue to chase our dream.”

After several months of treatment and recovery, Reigns made his triumphant return in February 2019, announcing that he was in remission and ready to return to the ring. He went on to face Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 35, showing the world that he was back and better than ever.

Reigns’ story is one of resilience, perseverance, and the power of a strong support system. Despite the challenges he faced, he never gave up and was able to overcome leukemia with the love and support of those around him.
