WWE Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event took at Cardiff, Wales on Saturday, September 3. It marked the company’s first premium event in UK in 30 long years. WWE’s last Premium Live Event in UK was back in 1992 when they came down for SummerSlam. WWE Chairwoman and Co-CEO Stephanie McMahon posted a throwback picture with brother Shane McMahon.
Clash At The Castle was stacked with huge matches
Drew McIntyre challenged Roman Reigns for the the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the headlining match and fans were quite excited about the clash. It seems Reigns might turn babyface in the future. The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns had been unstoppable with his championship reign.
It has been the longest reign in the championship’s history and the sixth-longest world championship reign in WWE history. He was also scheduled to celebrate 2-year reign on this week’s Clash At The Castle go-home episode of SmackDown. However, before Reigns could make his way to the ring, ‘The Scottish Warrior’ laid down Reigns with a brutal attack at the parking lot.
Shayna Baszler was eyeing to claim the SmackDown Women’s title by dethroning Liv Morgan. Gunther is also set to defend the WWE Intercontinenal title against Sheamus. RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Asuka and Alexa Bliss will team up to take on the team of Bayley, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai.
Riddle locked horns with Seth Rollins as their rivalry has gotten personal in recent weeks. Meanwhile, Finn Balor and Damian Priest went up against Rey Mysterio and WWE Hall of Famer Edge.
