WWE Chairman Vince McMahon’s son Shane McMahon was not seen on WWE television after his high profile feud with Braun Strowman last year. Shane McMahon returned during the Men’s Royal Rumble match this year where fans were not happy with him going toe to toe with established WWE Superstars such as Matt Riddle. His performance also ticked off WWE Superstars backstage on top of that as well. Shane McMahon’s WWE firing conspiracy was also revealed.
According to Ringside News, Shane McMahon was scheduled to be on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. It was not revealed why Shane McMahon was absent, but plans for him have changed. In an update from the site, it was previously revealed that WWE had fired Shane McMahon after all the heat he got after producing the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
It was also reported that the company had big plans for Shane McMahon for the WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event on February 19th in Saudi Arabia. McMahon’s firing from WWE is certainly one of the biggest topics of discussion in the professional wrestling world right now.
Former WWE writer Vince Russo took to Twitter and noted the possibility of starting his own pro wrestling promotion.
“Just throwing this out there, maybe it’s time for @shanemcmahon to Start His OWN WRESTLING PROMOTION. He has the experience/funds/know how and intellegence. PLUS he’s not a MARK and CERTAINLY not an A**H*** like the Other 2 Current Promoters . I’d be the 1st One to Support Him,”
Russo also revealed on his ChannelAttitude.com podcast that he told Shane on a phone call that the reason he left WWE was because Vince told him to hire a nanny to raise his children. Shane said that sounded like Vince, and that he treats his grandchildren (Shane’s kids) the same way sadly.
