Shane McMahon survives helicopter crash in New York City

Shane McMahon is one wild and crazy guy. The fact is there probably isn’t a time when Shane sees something up in the sky and says, “I’d like to jump off of that.” But he recently took his love of adrenaline rushes to the next level and it wasn’t even on purpose.

McMahon is a busy guy. He was at the SmackDown Live tapings on Tuesday night but found his way to New York City the next morning. Unfortunately for Shane McMahon this trip to New York City wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. Although it was exciting there are probably better ways to get your blood pumping than to go the route Shane took on Wednesday morning.

WABC TV in New York City reports Shane McMahon was in a helicopter crash. He was the passenger in this wreck but somehow he was able to escape safe and totally unharmed. It was certainly lucky that Shane was able to survive this crash without injury as nobody would have had a chance to put a crash pad under him to break his fall on that one.

According to reports the helicopter crashed in the waters off of Gilgo Beach on Wednesday morning for an emergency landing. The FAA stated the Robinson R-44 helicopter with two aboard landed on its pontoon skids just before 10:30 a.m. With Shane McMahon being one of those two people on board, that helicopter had some precious cargo in it to say the least.

This was a scary situation and could have ended much differently. After everything we’ve seen Shane put his body through it would have been a terrible way to say goodbye to Vince McMahon’s baby boy. On the bright side though, we’re very happy Shane was able to escape this scary ordeal with just a good story to tell, that’s for sure.
