Former WWE star Mandy Rose has revealed that basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal had reached out to her following her release from WWE. Rose’s release was quite shocking to the fans who also showed support to the former NXT Women’s Champion during that time.
In December 2022, Mandy Rose was let go from WWE due to her content behind paywall. During this time, many performers and personalities from the wrestling world publicly supported Rose. It turns out that she received support from Shaq as well.
NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal also reached out to Rose over direct message. While speaking to The I-95 Morning Show, Rose revealed that Shaquille O’Neal contacted her after her release.
“Shaq. But it wasn’t creepy or anything, it was when I got released. Super cool guy, I’ve heard really great things about him. I think I met him in person like once. It was when I got released and the news articles and all of these crazy things are coming out. It was really sweet, he just messaged me and was like hang in there, you’re amazing, love you kid or something like you’ll be fine. It’s one of those things, he must of saw something and probably felt bad. That was really cool.”
Mandy Rose hasn’t returned to the ring since her release from WWE. Her premium paywall content that led to her firing turned out to be successful as memberships on her site garnered massive money and she doesn’t seem to stop anytime soon.
