WWE NXT has established it’s place as one of the finest brands in all of professional wrestling and is currently stacked with top names in the form of Johnny Gargano, Charlotte Flair, Io Shirai, Keith Lee, and reigning NXT Champion, Adam Cole.
However, much like every other superstar, the aforementioned names will eventually make their debut or return to the main roster at some point down the line but according to WWE Hall of Famer, Shawn Michaels, there is currently a batch of superstars who he feels will be considered as the next big stars of the NXT brand.
In his recent appearance on WWE Backstage, Renne Young asked ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ who he feels will be the next generation of superstars in NXT, to which the latter said that the likes of Karrion Kross, Timothy Thatcher, and Dexter Lumis will be the guys to watch out for.
“But now, Killer Kross or Karrion Kross, I should probably do better about saying. Dexter Lumis, Tim Thatcher. There are a number of guys coming up that are going to be very interesting, and again, are going to take NXT to the next level, as they say.”
The three superstars mentioned by Michaels have been heavily featured on NXT TV in recent weeks, with Thatcher also representing the NXT Tag Team Champions on behalf of Pete Dunne.
Kross, on the other hand, will be on next week’s show, whereas, Lumis has been dismantling every single one of his opponents.
