Shawn Michaels Reveals WWE Star Is ‘Faking’ Injury

The most recent edition of WWE NXT saw current North American Champion Johnny Gargano get knocked into a wheelchair by Kushida. The two are set to brawl for Gargano’s NXT North American Championship during the gold and black brand’s next mega event – NXT Takeover: Vengeance Day. The event takes place on February 14th, 2021 and will be the final NXT Takeover before WWE merges their WWE Network with Peacock. Shawn Michaels recently revealed how he knew Undertaker was ‘past his prime’.

After revealing that Gargano was faking an injury, WWE Hall of Famer ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ Shawn Michaels took to social media via Twitter commenting on the occurrence with the caption: “Well… at least his arm is okay” Very ironic for the same Shawn Michaels that ‘lost his smile’ back in 1997. In other news regarding Shawn Michaels, current AEW announcer and legendary WWE personality Jim ‘JR’ Ross reflected the feud that took place between Michaels and the late Owen Hart prior to the events of the infamous Montreal Screwjob during a recent edition of his ‘Grilling JR’ podcast. Ross told Conrad Thompson the following. Credit to EWrestling for the transcription. Shawn Michaels reacted to Edge being in NXT not too long ago.

“Could it have happened? Of course, it could have happened,” JR responded when asked if Triple H and HBK quashed the idea of Owen feuding with Shawn. “Can I confirm that it definitely happened? No, I cannot. I don’t know the answer.”

“I don’t know if there was as much confidence in Vince’s eyes in Owen because of the perception that Owen didn’t have this animal magnetism that Bret possessed.”

“So maybe Vince’s lack of total confidence in Owen affected that decision making. Owen was another guy just like Shawn, you knew that bell-to-bell, nobody was going to be better. Owen Hart was a great worker but maybe he didn’t have that zest of charisma to the level that Bret had and that is what he was being compared to. That was obviously not that fair, but that’s the only thing I can think of, Conrad.”

“Maybe Shawn and Hunter just wanted to get away from the Hart thing. They rode that horse a long time. I don’t know, I don’t have the answer to that scenario, I wish I did.”
