Shawn Michaels finally returned to the ring after 8 years at Crown Jewel where he teamed up with Triple H once again to defeat the Brothers of Destruction.
After the show, WWE caught up with the Heartbreak Kid backstage to talk to him about his return to the ring and possible in ring future.
During the discussion, Michaels said that he has been nerves the whole day before the PPV though it became comfortable once he got out there:
“My goodness. Obviously this whole day has been anxious, nerves and everything else. Once I got in there, though, with everybody it was fun, it was comfortable. You know, I don’t know, I felt… did a few things, get a little warm, and you forget just how tough this is on your body.
Though continuing on the topic, the former World Champion said that he will be feeling the effects of this in the upcoming days and he is now going back to his ‘regular life’:
I’ll be feeling it for the next several days. It will be a very good reminder of why I didn’t do it for eight years and why I’m not going to do it again, if I can possibly help it. … We are going back to our regular life, boys. It was a lot of fun to do but I’m glad it’s over too.”
Does this mean Shawn is done with wrestling once again or will he return to ring much sooner this time? You decide.
