Damian Priest is having a great time in WWE as part of The Judgement Day stable alongside, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripely. While, Scarlett remains to be the valet of Karrion Kross, it has come to light that Scarlett was originally planned to manage Priest.
Scarlett Bordeaux managing Damian Priest idea was nixed
Sean Sapp reported behind Fightfulβs paywall that Scarlett and Karrion Kross were set for some interesting plans in 2019. Scarlett was actually set to manage Damain Priest, but Priest didnβt think that she was a good fit for that spot. This was actually when they were still in developmental.
“Scarlett is now with real life husband Karrion Kross on screen after both were brought back following their WWE releases. However, when NXT jumped to cable in 2019, there were some other pitches for her. Sources have indicated to Fightful that originally Scarlett was set to manage Damian Priest, as far back as September 2019. However, Priest didnβt think the fit was good for him and passed on the spot. There were some within NXT that actually thought the act was going to make TV up until the week it was nixed, which weβre told was within the first few weeks of the brand airing on the USA Network.
After Priest passed on the idea, Scarlettβs character was put on the back burner until it became clear that Karrion Kross was coming into the company. Those that we spoke to said in retrospect it worked out better for all involved.”
