Fans were left disappointed when Shelton Benjamin couldn’t make his WWE return due to an injury last year, but now it appears the former US Champion might finally be coming to WWE.
Ryan Satin from Pro Wrestling Sheet claimed on Twitter yesterday that other reports about Benjamin are false and that the former WWE star has already signed a deal with WWE:
Did the Observer report that Shelton Benjamin hasn’t signed with WWE? If so, that’s false. My sources say his deal is now done.

It’s worth noting here that the reports of Wrestling Observer which Ryan has mentioned do not clearly state that Shelton has not signed with WWE yet.
Those reports say that the former ROH star had not signed a deal with WWE as of earlier this week, hence they do not conflict with Satin’s claims as Shelton could have signed this deal anytime in the past couple of days or so.
Now it’d be interesting to see if Shelton Benjamin is headed to SmackDown Live as originally planned upon his return or he ends up on the Raw roster instead.
