Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander challenged Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods for the Raw Tag Team Titles at WWE TLC. They were feuding for quite a while and it culminated at the event.
The Hurt Business ultimately defeated The New Day in a hard-fought match. The closing moments of the match saw Alexander hitting the Lumbar Check on Kingston to get the three count. Thus, Benjamin and Alexander were crowned the new Raw Tag Team Champions.
Shelton Benjamin made a post on Instagram after his massive win, where he paid a heartfelt tribute to his late friend, former WWE Superstar Shad Gaspard.
Benjamin uploaded two pictures in his post, one was with him and Shad Gaspard together. The other showed Benjamin’s new Rag Team Team Title and his wristband that read ‘4 S.G’, which meant ‘For Shad Gaspard.’
