Shelton Benjamin signs new multi-year contract with WWE

WWE is locking-in their Superstars to new multi-year contracts so that they don’t go elsewhere. Promotions outside of the WWE are gaining much more attention now more than ever and this concerns the self-proclaimed “Big Leagues”.

The company was successful in getting another Superstar to re-sign with the company. Shelton Benjamin revealed on Lilian Garcia’s Chasing Glory podcast that he’s signed a new multi-year contract with the company.

Benjamin said that since he signed the deal recently, he will be in the company for a while.

Most of these new deals that WWE is putting out will lock talent in for 3-5 years at least. Reportedly, the money that the company is offering to these Superstars is also quite impressive.

Considering his age, a multi year deal with WWE where he gets paid good money to only wrestle occasionally is probably the best thing for him. Shelton knows whats best for him, and he has done that.

He turns 45 this year. I’m sure he’s fine with getting paid a bunch to do that.

Hope he enjoys popping up on Raw once every few months.
