Shinsuke Nakamura recalls feud with AJ Styles

United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura was embroiled in a lengthy feud with AJ Styles, after opting to face The Phenomenal One at WrestleMania for the WWE Championship, Nakamura chose the dark path by turning heel post the match.

 


 

The duo were locked in for a program that stretched several months. In a recent interview with TV Insider, Nakamura revisited the feud by revealing finer details. Nakamura said:

“I wanted to do more for the first time on WWE. I think I could show myself more against AJ. But still, I liked getting the chance against AJ, After WrestleMania, I became the heel, but I didn’t show everything. Just a little bit.”

Nakamura also went on to talk about the low-blows that were traded over the course of the rivalry to a point where it managed to be the highlight of their entire feud. He stated:

“I wanted to say the idea came from myself, but it’s not true. I don’t want to say who it was. Everybody can imagine”

“It was awesome because when I hit the low blow at WrestleMania, all the Japanese fans were shocked. The people in the arena were loud. They were like, ‘Yeah!’”
