SmackDown draws historic low ratings after special 1000 episode

While SmackDown was expected to suffer a drop in ratings after the historic 1000th episode, not many would have expected it to draw another historic low rating.

The Evolution go home episode of the show which featured Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton in the main event drew a total of 2.087 million viewers, which is the lowest rating of the show since its July 1st episode.

This is down 18% from last week’s historic event. The episode featuring big returns like the Undertaker and Batista had drawn 2.545 million viewers.

In comparison, the Raw episode featuring Roman Reigns’ big announcement and Dean Ambrose’s heel turn in the main event actually saw an increase in the audience.

Last week’s episode of the Red Branded Show had drawn 2.397 million viewers and this week’s episode drew an average 2.548 million viewers, which is the best number for the show since the post Hell In A Cell episode.
