SmackDown records second-best audience of 2020 for Performance Center episode

The SmackDown episode was broadcasted without an audience this week and it appears that the curiosity of how the company will handle the situation forced people to tune in to the show.

This week’s episode of SmackDown Live featuring the return of Jeff Hardy to in-ring competition and John Cena’s appearance in the main event segment drew a total of 2.588 million viewers in the overnight ratings.

The first hour of the show drew 2.673 million viewers while the second hour then saw a decrease in the numbers with 2.588 million viewers, according to Showbuzz Daily.

If these numbers hold up then this will be second best SmackDown audience this year after the February 28 episode of the show which drew 2.687 million viewers.

So far WWE has not announced any change to next week’s SmackDown but it looks likely that the show will be moved to Performance Center similar to NXT and next week’s Raw.
