SmackDown sees 25% decline in audience from Fox Premiere

While this week’s episode of SmackDown Live was a promising episode with the draft, the show still saw a massive decline in ratings compared to last week.

This week’s episode of SmackDown which was the first night of the drafts and featured the Women’s Championship match between Charlotte and Bayley as the main event drew a total of 2.898 million viewers.

This is a big 25% decline from last week’s episode of SmackDown Live which was the premiere episode of the show on the Fox Network.

The show which featured stars such as the Rock and Brock Lesnar and was main evented by the WWE Championship match between Kofi Kingston and Lesnar had drawn a total of 3.888 million viewers.

Though it’s still good news for WWE as in recent times, the SmackDown episodes had been ranging below the 2.5 million mark and it appears that the move to Fox Network has benefited them

Although it’s still too early to determine how much affect this network change will have on the show’s numbers and we will have to wait for a few weeks to know how much SmackDown is benefitting from being on a network with a larger reach.
