Speculation on WWE possibly changing announced SummerSlam title match

While WWE has announced a number of bouts for the SummerSlam PPV, it appears that the company could be thinking about making some changes to a scheduled title match.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, there have been talks of the company changing the announced Seth Rollins vs. Dolph Ziggler bout.

It’s worth mentioning here that this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw will feature a match between Rollins and Ziggler’s new partner Drew McIntyre.

And according to Meltzer, the officials could be planning something for this match which may set up a change to the announced IC title bout, most likely adding McIntyre into the match.

Though this is not confirmed just yet, and we’ll have to tune in to Raw this week to find out if the company is really planning to change the announced bout.

Problem is, Elias vs Ziggler would be the next feud, and heel vs heel feuds rarely ever work.

I agree. They push some people so quick and so fast, and others like Elias have been on the sidelines too long. The Intercontinental Championship should go on to Elias’s waist. I think it would be pretty entertaining as well

What I would like to see is Elias somehow get added to this to make it a triple threat. He wins the match, thus ending the Ziggler/Rollins fued. I think he’s due for an IC title run.

Too early for Drew to get involved with this and potentially start something with Ziggler. They have a good thing going right now.
