The rumors about WWE’s relationship with Sting and a possible AEW debut for the wrestling legend has picked up steam recently after some latest developments.
The marketing manager of the partnership between WWE and Mattel recently announced that the former WCW star has been removed from their upcoming action figure lineup.
The tweet did not give any details regarding the change and they just noted that he is being removed due to “circumstances out of their control”.
Not only this but the former TNA Champion recently replied to a tweet from the newest AEW star Lance Archer and then received a reply from Cody Rhodes:
It’s NOT SSSTTTIIINNNGGG! “Due to circumstances out of our control Sting needed to be removed from Legends Series 7. We’ll look to include this figure in a future wave if he becomes available to us again.” pic.twitter.com/qUmHr8DEPH

All these events have led to the speculation that Sting may not have a working relationship with WWE anymore and he might make an AEW appearance sooner or later.
Though whether or not these rumors are actually true is not known and we will have to wait for any further development in the situation to know more details.
