After former NXT Women’s Champion Asuka destroyed James Ellsworth at the Extreme Rules PPV, speculation is that the chinless wonder is done with the company once again.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer revealed that Ellsworth is not officially signed to a WWE contract and he is still booked for several indie dates in future.
He was reportedly brought back on a day to day agreement at the Money In The Bank where he helped Carmella to retain the SmackDown Women’s title against the Empress Of Tomorrow.
After the show on Sunday night, James made the following comments from his Twitter account, which only adds to the speculation that he may be done with the company once again:
#Pittsburgh is where it all started 2 years ago for me when I stepped into the Ring with @BraunStrowman
Always good going back to the arena that will always have a special place in my heart
Can’t wait to hang out there again #ExtremeRules .. pic.twitter.com/09qB7Yyhsh

For those who don’t know, James Ellsworth was suspended in a Shark Cage above the ring for the Carmella vs Asuka match at Extreme Rules.
Though he managed to slip out and helped Carmella to retain her title once again. After the bout, Asuka unleashed an attack on the SmackDown Star and it looked like this could be a way to write him off TV.
