A big announcement has been made tonight. Ricochet defeated Adam Cole for the NXT North American Championship a while ago and has been successfully defending his title since. Now, a new contender for the title has been revealed and it is a big one, to say the least.
Johnny Gargano challenged Ricochet for the NXT North American Championship. The match has been made official for NXT TakeOver: Phoenix. Considering how Johnny Gargano’s new mindset is, it will be interesting to see what he does in the match.
NXT TakeOver: Phoenix will air live on the WWE Network on January 26th.
