With Money in the Bank a month away, tonight’s episode of RAW will look to fill the rest of the slots in the MITB matches.
The three qualifying matches set up for tonight’s Raw were as followed.
- Alexa Bliss vs Bayley vs Mickie James
- Baron Corbin vs Bobby Roode vs No Way Jose
- Bobby Lashley vs Elias vs Jinder Mahal
Bobby Roode earned his spot first, pinning Jose after a Glorious DDT, and Alexa Bliss defeated James and Bayley after hitting Bayley with a DDT.
When it comes to the last match, however, a change was made. Kevin Owens, earlier in the night, lost to Seth Rollins in a match for the Intercontinental Championship. The Prize Fighter demanded a rematch from Angle. However, another opportunity arose for him.
Later in the night, Jinder Mahal was attacked by Roman Reigns, getting speared through a wall. The Modern Day Maharaja was stretchered out, being taken out of the MITB qualifier. Angle instead placed Kevin Owens in the match, who pinned Elias after a Frog Splash.
There are still two spots left to be filled in the men’s MITB match and five in the women’s. The next episode of Smackdown Live should fill out the rest of the men’s match.
