Stephanie McMahon comments on The Rock’s status with WWE

WWE recently confirmed the venue for WrestleMania 37, announcing that it will be held at the brand new SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

After the announcement, former Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon held a press conference in Los Angeles where she talked about the event among other things.

When asked about The Rock’s status with WWE and if he can be at WrestleMania 37, McMahon said that they are always talking to him but she can’t promise anything:

“We’re always talking to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and hoping he’s going to come back. Sometimes it pans out, sometimes it doesn’t, but we’re always talking. I think The Rock is the perfect example of what happens when WWE and Hollywood come together, so I hope that he’ll be a part of it but I can’t promise anything.”

She also talked about Ronda Rousey possibly being a part of WrestleMania 37. She first joked that she doesn’t want to be the one facing her, but claimed that she hopes that the former UFC star comes back:

“I sincerely hope we have Ronda Rousey back for WrestleMania here at SoFi only I don’t want to be the one facing her in the ring, It didn’t work out so well for me last time, I think I’ll let her do her own thing. In all seriousness, I hope so; I think she’s very serious about coming back. I think she has some things in her personal life that she wants to do and when the time is right she’ll be back, I have no doubt about that.”
