Stephanie McMahon Signs AEW Star After Firing?

WWE has seen a number of changes to their roster since the company changed leadership. Eras have certainly changed since the attitude era and Ruthless Aggression era, of course, but there’s even been a noticeable change in the energy from just a few years ago from when the likes of Kalisto was involved. It looks like he’s on the way back.

Sean Ross Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that Kalisto was backstage at NXT live events over the weekend, but why was he there? Well it looks like he was a guest coach and producer on the shows, which would lead to everyone assuming that he will be in the fold as a coach to help up and coming talent in order to properly form their skills to the degree that WWE needs.

Sean stated: “Former WWE talent Kalisto was at NXT live events this week, serving as a guest coach and producer. He was at the WWE Performance Center throughout the week coaching, and the Friday night live event. We’re told he handled the women’s matches as a producer. We haven’t learned if he’ll be back any time soon.”

To catch readers up to speed, Kalisto was released by WWE in 2021. Since then, he worked AEW and AAA, although he hasn’t worked many dates at all with AEW being a bit of a wash for him. It is also reported that “IMPACT had discussed bringing him in. It ultimately didn’t end up happening,” but it doesn’t mean that there was not interest there to bring him in to try to boost the show up by any means.

We’ll have to see what happens with Kalisto and WWE. Triple H has certainly brought back a few names so far, and Kalisto still has a lot that he can offer WWE.
