WWE’s WrestleMania 38 premium live event has been full of thrilling action so far and AEW star ‘The Best in the World’, the current number one contender for the AEW World Championship, CM Punk took note of it. The fans saw the in-ring return of ‘Stone Cold Steve Austin after 19 long years. He defeated Kevin Owens in a ‘No Holds Barred match. After months of speculations and rumors, the fans also witnessed the return of ‘The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes to the company. The Former All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice President was revealed as the mystery opponent of Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and he won the returning match. It seems Punk is quite happy for Rhodes and Austin. But, he is furious with Eddie Kingston.
CM Punk opens up on Steve Austin and Cody Rhodes’ return
In his post-WrestleMania tweets, Punk addressed any idea that he may feel bitterness toward Kevin Owens and also addressed an incident involving him and Owens in the past.
“insane after all these years people still can watch that video, listen to Kev tell that story about Gabe making him wrestle in a shirt, and blame ME for Kev coming back into the locker room and yelling at ME. I’m super happy for him right now, but that doesn’t fit your narrative”
Following that tweet, he expressed his happiness for former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens, Cody Rhodes, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and several other names, including himself, who have gotten a second chance at professional wrestling. He did stop in the middle of the Tweet to take a shot at Eddie Kingston one more time. His Tweet read:
