Steve Austin Canceled Return Match For Sad Reason

WWE Hall Of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin’s feud with The Rock has gone down in history as one of the most iconic feuds in all of professional wrestling. Their feud ended at WrestleMania 19 in 2003, which was Steve Austin’s final match as an in-ring competitor. It was the third match at WrestleMania in their feud. Steve Austin and The Rock Smackdown return also leaked recently.

Former Monday Night RAW commentator Jonathan Coachman was one of the main figures on WWE television during the mid to late 2000s. Jonathan Coachman recently spoke on his latest AdFreeShows podcast, where he talked about his match at the Taboo Tuesday pay-per-view in 2005. He stated that ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin pulling out of his match with Coachman was not a good moment in his career at all.

“He didn’t show up. That’s the truth. He felt like it was below him, he didn’t show up, but it wasn’t the only time that he did that. The only thing — I’m not even bitter to this day about it. I wish I would have got the check. Because I didn’t get the check. When you wrestled Stone Cold you got paid more. But I have no ill will towards him at all because he had a long career, he had a lot of things going on, he was a big star, and I certainly wasn’t in his world. But that particular time, I wouldn’t say it was his best moment,” said Jonathan Coachman about Stone Cold Steve Austin.
