Steve Austin & Mick Foley WrestleMania Rumor Leaks

According to a recent interview with The Wrestling Classic, WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin has stated that he has not heard anything about a potential appearance at WrestleMania Goes Hollywood, which takes place in just two weeks. He also stated that WWE has a great roster currently and that there are many current superstars that should be given the opportunity to shine and be in the spotlight. When asked if he would be at the show, Austin replied that it is still to be determined. WWE had reportedly pitched several ideas for Austin to return for another match at WrestleMania, including against Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and a SmackDown star, but he turned them down.

“I haven’t heard anything. We’re literally, as we speak right now, about two weeks away and it’s the biggest show of the year,” Austin said. “Right now, I think, WWE has got as good a roster as they’ve had since the Attitude Era. They got a deep roster, so I think many guys and gals need those coveted spots. They got plenty of names to draw from plenty of talent to draw from. I think they should shine the light and the cameras on their current superstars.”

When asked whether he would be at the show.

“To be determined,” Austin answered.

Mick Foley gave his opinions on the current WWE landscape during his Foley Is Pod show. He commented on the Bloodline storyline involving The Usos and Sami Zayn, saying that Sami Zayn is going to be solid in the storyline and that he may have a title run eventually. Foley also shared his thoughts on the main event of WrestleMania 39, saying that he will be disappointed if he does not see a title change and that Cody Rhodes needs to come out on top to send the fans home happy. Foley confirmed that he will not be present at WrestleMania, but he may appear on WWE programming on Friday night and may even make an appearance at the WWE Hall of Fame event.

“On Friday night, I may be a part of WWE programming. Just putting it out there. Sunday, I won’t be in attendance. I might watch it at the hotel. I might catch a flight.”
