Steve Austin Return Offer With McMahon Leaks

Vince McMahon was trying to get Steve Austin back for another comeback match after WrestleMania 38, FightfulSelect.com reports, before his WWE exit. Triple H has formally offered Austin a match, likely either at WrestleMania 39 or in Saudi Arabia. One source said that Austin and WWE are ‘far apart’ on terms.

Kevin Owens lost to Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38. WWE Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin’s feud with The Rock has gone down in history as one of the most iconic feuds in all of professional wrestling. Their feud ended at WrestleMania 19 in 2003, which was Steve Austin’s final match as an in-ring competitor. It was the third match at WrestleMania in their feud. Steve Austin and The Rock Smackdown return also leaked previously.

While speaking on Kurt Angle Show, Jay Lethal talked about his feud with Owens in ROH. Lethal revealed how Owens once pitched to spit on Lethal’s parents.

“There was a time at Ring of Honor where I was feuding with Kevin Steen [Owens] and he wanted to do this thing where he’d spit on them [Lethal’s parents]. The toughest part about that was my parents never sat front row. They didn’t like sitting front row and because of that, if they ever sat front row, it was like, it was a dead giveaway.’

So, I was okay with them doing this angle with him but I didn’t want them front row and he was gung-ho about it and I’m a team player and so are they and it came out — after it was done, I thought it was cool.”
