WWE Hall Of Famer Edge went against all odds as he entered the #1 spot in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. When it looked as if Edge was going to be eliminated from the match, he persevered and ultimately won the match after eliminating long-time rival Randy Orton.
It marked the second time Edge won the Royal Rumble match, his first being the Royal Rumble match back in 2010. Edge will now be in the main event of WrestleMania 37 against a champion of his choosing.
During the latest edition of WWE’s The Bump, WWE Hall of Famer ‘Stone Cold Steve Austin’ was asked about the Royal Rumble match and what he thought of the winners of the respective matches. He praised Belair and said it was the right choice.
When it came to Edge winning the Men’s Royal Rumble match, Steve Austin said it was a great direction that WWE decided to take and he is excited to see what happens next.
”For him[Edge] to win that and make that quote which he is tired of that he doesn’t want to try to understand how it’s happening, he just wants to enjoy the ride. What a great moment. It could’ve gone either way, they picked a great direction.”
