Steve Austin says WWE bringing back CM Punk is ‘a breath of fresh air’

WWE legend ”Stone Cold” Steve Austin has seen many superstars leave the WWE. He also saw quite a few make their return to the company and that includes CM Punk as part of WWE Backstage. Steve Austin certainly thinks his return is a great thing for the company.

Steve Austin spoke to State of Combat podcast, where he talked about CM Punk’s return to the company. While it is not confirmed he will be wrestling again, him being back is a “breath of fresh air” for the world of professional wrestling.

“I don’t know if it leads to anything more. I guess, speculation to be determined, we will find out.”

“Just the fact that he returned to be doing business with WWE I love because I know they split up on bad terms and now they are back in business together, CM Punk was a lights-out pro wrestler; great promos, great work, great talent, so to have him back into the fold obviously they ironed whatever they needed to iron out and both sides are happy.”

“It’s great to have CM Punk back in the pro wrestling/sports entertainment business. I think it’s a breath of fresh air because the guy brings in a great perspective, great insights, great opinion on all things sports entertainment.”

Austin is paying attention to Punk and he knows Punk will have a lot to contribute to the business, even if he does not compete. If Punk ever makes a return to the squared circle, it will certainly be one of the most talked-about returns in professional wrestling history.
