Steve Austin WWE Return Paycheck Revealed?

Billi Bhatti from The Wrestling Informer and Keepin’ it 100 with Konnan recently reported in the past WWE offered Stone Cold Steve Austin $12-15 million dollars to return to the ring for matches at WrestleMania and two Saudi Arabia shows, so he’ll likely get at least 1/3 of that for a WrestleMania match with Kevin Owens.

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon recently joined Pat McAfee for a rare interview on ‘The Pat McAfee Show.’ This had grabbed the headlines upon its announcement this week. The former NFL star and WWE commentator are reportedly set to go one on one for a match with WrestleMania 38. It seems that Vince might have sown the seeds for his feud with McAfee.

Vince McMahon opens up on confrontation

Vince displayed his normal antics even before turning up at the venue. Vince had called up McAfee when he was about fifteen minutes away. There was to be no prep. McMahon asked for the interview to start immediately while the crew put mics on him.

Most viewers had no idea what to expect. Some believed the interview would be fully scripted to promote the WrestleMania match. However, McAfee went into the interview asserting that the interview would be legitimate. Pat came out of the gate firing serious questions. During the conversation, the two talked about Vince McMahon’s love for confrontation, including competition from AEW and in the past TNA and WCW.

“I’m probably one of the few people in the world who enjoys confrontation. I enjoy confrontation. It’s one of the things that revs you up. It’s one of the things that puts you on your toes. It’s one of those things… ‘OK, what am I going to do here in that split second.

I enjoy confrontation. Physical confrontation. I enjoy that, you know? So, with a background like that, and further background when I was a kid… We don’t want to hear another ‘bad kid’ story or something like that, but my philosophy… I learned a long time ago when I was a kid that if I live through that beating, I win.

So, if you live through the beating and you won, what can you do to me? So, in terms of competition, in terms of that confrontation, I’m not afraid of it. I relish it.”

We will now have to see if they will lock horns at WrestleMania 38.
