Steve Cutler Got ‘Sick’ Before WWE Firing

WWE released Steve Cutler from the Forgotten Sons and Knights of the Lone Wolf Today. Fightful Select reports that he got sick with COVID-19 in early January, leading to heat from Vince McMahon. Cutler never returned to TV after this, and it may have had something to do with his release.

Cutler and partner Wesley Blake were pulled from TV after Jaxson Ryker was pulled from TV last year after past social media comments resurfaced. WWE personnel believe Cutler and Blake unfairly got heat. Cutler was well liked at the WWE Performance Center, as he would bump for ‘big men’ during classes.

WWE’s statement on Cutler’s release stated, “WWE has come to terms on the release of Steve Cutler. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.” Lars Sullivan was released a few days ago and did not receive a statement.

Cutler worked for WWE for 7 years, and his most recent work was as a henchman for King Corbin. It’s unknown what this means for Wesley Blake, and if he will be repackaged for the third time in a year.

Cutler supposedly has an ‘open door’ for a return in the future, according to Fightful Select’s report on his release.
