Sting says he would consider a return match against only one opponent

Sting was recently interviewed by  99.7 CYK  where he talked about a number of things including another possible wrestling match, and he said that he will only return against one opponent.

Not very surprisingly the Icon said that he would consider doing one more match only against the Undertaker because he has always loved the idea:

“I would only consider against one opponent, and that would be [Undertaker], and that’s it,” Sting said. “Anyone else, at this point, why? But, I have always loved the idea of the Sting-Taker thing. So many ideas in my head, you know, how to make it just a night that people would never forget.”

Apart from this Sting also talked about doing only smaller shows now, how his match against Ric Flair at Clash of the Champions put him on the map and more.

Since Undertaker appears to be doing one final round before his retirement this year by wrestling more than he has in the past few years, do you see WWE bringing back sting for one more match against him? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section.

He should have retire at 20-0. With last shot being he HBK and HHH. You want to know why Undertaker is just facing HHH and HBK right now because they are the only one who can carry him.

So did Shawn and look where he is now. Never discount a retired wrestler, unless they’ve not been medically cleared to continue wrestling.

It is way too late for this match. Stay out Sting, you’ve done enough for a brilliant career.

  • Luke

    Sting already retired though

    Define “years ago”
up until his match vs Lesnar he was still having great matches. So if by “years ago” you mean 5 years ago then i would agree.

Taker is my favorite wrestler of all time, and he is the reason I ever even got into wrestling. But he should have retired years ago. He once said in an interview that he didn’t want to be one of those guys (like Flair, Funk, Hogan, now HBK apparently), who hangs on too long, until they’re a shadow of their former self. That is what Taker is now, and it makes me sad. I hate it.

He’s the greatest, and has no reason to have been still wrestling these last several years. And he certainly never should have lost at WM, least of all to the likes of Reigns or Lesnar.

I actually think he might have a retiring match at Survior Series it was were he made his debut.

  • Darrin Tyler

As long as its a burried alive match.

even though the kid in me likes to see take her still coming down that ramp, I have to agree with you. perhaps this will happen this year (2019) at wrestlemania as an end all

  • Soulshroude

This is a “duh” moment, we all know this match needs to happen to retire both men.

  • Rinn13

His only WM match should have been against Taker. And then they both should have retired.
