Stipe Miocic Looks Scared Of Jon Jones In Video

Former longtime light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, made a quick return to the octagon after a three-year absence to claim the vacant heavyweight title by defeating Ciryl Gane. The next logical fight for Jones is against former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic, which UFC President Dana White confirmed will definitely happen.

I don’t know when” when asked about a date. As far as Miocic is concerned, he “100 percent, no questions” wants to fight Jones in July after getting an up-close look at him from cageside at T-Mobile Arena.

“Nothing’s gonna change,” Stipe Miocic told ESPN reporter Megan Olivi of how he’ll prepare for Jones. ” I’m gonna train my ass off and beat that ass.

Fans pointed out that Stipe looked nervous. While a date for the fight has not been announced, July 8th is a possibility. Miocic expressed his desire to fight Jones in July after witnessing his performance cageside. He didn’t have much to say about Jones’ win over Gane, but he made it clear that he’s ready to train hard and beat Jones in their upcoming bout.

Miocic, who held the UFC heavyweight title twice and defended it four times, hasn’t fought since losing the belt to Francis Ngannou in March 2021. Jones referred to Miocic as “the greatest heavyweight of all time” and called their upcoming matchup a battle between two GOATs.

Good for him. Hey, he won. I’ll see him in July,” Miocic said. “… “They’re all big boys at heavyweight. Not that much to say. It is what it is.

None of my past champions that I’ve beat were considered GOATs,” Jones said. “This is GOAT vs. GOAT.”
