‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin on The Undertaker saying current pro wrestlers are not tough

The Undertaker had a lot of controversial things to say when it came to modern-day pro wrestlers last month. The Undertaker said that he has difficulty enjoying WWE as a fan as it is too ‘soft’ for him. The Phenom also stated that he preferred the WWE Superstars from his era of wrestling as they were ‘real men’ compared to the WWE Superstars of today.

Several wrestlers from various companies shared their thoughts on what The Deadman said. Some agreed with his views while others did not. Now it seems a WWE Hall Of Famer has given his own thoughts on what The Undertaker had to say.

During a recent appearance on ESPN First Take, WWE Hall Of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin talked about The Undertaker saying modern-day pro wrestlers are not as tough as the wrestlers from previous eras.

Austin said that while the current pro wrestlers are better athletes, he prefers the gritter product presented by the older era of wrestling.

“You’re spot on in saying that today is a different era. It’s a more athletic product, the guys and girls are better athletes than we were. Growing up, I was a big fan of promotions such as NWA, Mid South, and WCCW as well, and during the Attitude Era, we really pushed the envelope creatively. I just think the business was a lot more protected back then, and it was a grittier product, which is what I thrive on.”
