Superstar pulled from WWE Worlds Collide Tournament

WWE set up a very impressive event for the Royal Rumble weekend. They will film the event during Axxess before the WWE Royal Rumble event. However, it seems that one superstar will not be taking part in the tournament.

Listed for 205 Live, superstar Humberto Carrillo, who is better known as Ultimo Ninja, will not be in the WWE Worlds Collide Tournament. Carrillo competed in a match back in October, where he teamed with Raul Mendoza and lost to Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch.

WWE has since removed his name from the list of competitors in the tournament. His previous spot is left unfilled and instead, it just says “A Superstar to be named.”

The tournament will start as a 15 man battle royal on Saturday and that will determine the first round matches for the tournament beginning later that day. The winner of the battle royal will receive a bye in the first round. The finals will take place on Sunday at the final Axxess session. The winner of the tournament will be receiving a title shot.

We will have to see who fills up Ninja’s spot and how the tournament goes.
