We are officially on the ROAD TO BEST IN THE WORLD! Everything from now until June 24th leads straight to our next pay-per-view event headlined by the biggest rematch in ROH history: JAY LETHAL VS. JAY BRISCOE. The ROAD TO BEST IN THE WORLD begins with THREE huge nights of ROH action in Collinsville, Indianapolis, and Columbus. All your favorite ROH stars will be there! The final night on the ROAD TO BEST IN THE WORLD will be a massive night of wrestling in Columbus, OH on June 5th:
NO DISQUALIFICATION ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
THE ADDICTION (CHRISTOPHER DANIELS & FRANKIE KAZARIAN) VS. WAR MACHINE (HANSON & RAY ROWE)
War Machine have overcome every challenge set before them, from Ray Rowe’s horrific motorcycle accident to the long road that lead them to ROH Championship gold. They took on any challengers, finally defeating their greatest rivals at GLOBAL WARS. Once Hanson and Rowe bested the legendary Briscoes, they declared their title reign could finally begin!
But the next night in Dearborn, The Addiction shocked the world by not only convincing War Machine to grant them a championship opportunity, but WINNING the titles once again! But the crowning of Daniels and Kazarian was not without controversy. Ray Rowe went into the match injured, so injured that he wasn’t even cleared to compete days later in Toronto. Add in TWO vicious belt shots from The Addiction and the new champions started their second reign on less than honorable grounds.
The rematch in NYC saw War Machine poised to reclaim the championship they just lost. But after several more covert attempts at interference, Christopher Daniels blatantly used the title belt once again, leaving Head Official Todd Sinclair with no choice but to award the disqualification victory to War Machine. That victory was bittersweet for Hanson and Rowe, because despite the “W” in the record books, the championship does not traditionally change hands on a disqualification. The Addiction walked out with the gold, no doubt smug over “outsmarting” Ring of Honor once again.
But those dastardly tactics aren’t going to work June 5th in Columbus! It’s just been decided that The Addiction will defend against War Machine once again. Only this time there’s one major difference: NO DISQUALIFICATIONS! That means that War Machine will be able to retaliate against their foes and not risk losing on a DQ. And it also means that The Addiction can’t bend the rules to their advantage this time! War Machine have been shown to excel in this sort of brutal environment, but Daniels and Kazarian are no strangers to this type of battle themselves.
We must have a definitive winner in Columbus and this NO DISQUALIFICATION ROH World Team Championship is going to be an unforgettable WAR!
