Taz thinks Aleister Black’s promos aren’t helping him

The Human Suplex Machine decided to touch upon the mic skills of NXT Champion Aleister Black on the latest episode of his podcast.

On the most recent Taz Show Podcast, Taz revealed that he’s a big fan of Black, but the promo skills of the Dutch Destroyer have weakened his character.

He definitely has an amazing look. His physique fits the part. His music, the intro, the darkness and the candles…that whole nine-yards is sick.

I don’t know how much I like him in street clothes, with all the tattoos and ink he has. When he wears a suit and talks on the microphone, it just doesn’t feel like he’s Aleister Black. This dark character, with this dark, demonic-type music… it loses it for me.

Once the music is gone, and the lights are up, and he’s in a suit and he’s got the belt on…nah. It’s not who I look at as Aleister Black. I’d go a different route when he’s cutting a promo. I’d never have him in a suit, I’d have him in his gear.

This isn’t the first time he’s targeted Black’s mic skills as his biggest weakness. He also thinks that if anyone would agree with him, it’s Triple H.

It’s an old school thing. If Triple H was here doing this podcast with me, he’d agree with me. We come from the same era, so he gets that.

Are the promos and suits hindering Aleister Black? Has the mystique been dispelled?

Taz went on to say that if he had a chance, he’d throw Black a manager akin to Catrina from Lucha Underground. You can hear the rest of the podcast here.
