Tessa Blanchard’s Impact Wrestling contract forbids her from speaking ill of her employers after release

Tessa Blanchard has been released from Impact Wrestling. The former Impact World Champion was reportedly asking for a “day rate” from the company for filming vignettes for her match at SummerSlam. However, both sides couldn’t come to an agreement and she was released from her contract.

We also reported that WWE is apparently interested in bringing Blanchard in. The company reportedly sent their feelers out to Blanchard earlier in the week.

Now, Fightful is reporting that Impact Wrestling had inserted a “non-disparagement” clause to Blanchard’s contract. This means that Blanchard can not speak ill of her former employers after her release from the company.

It should also be noted that many contracts in NWA also include such a clause.
